though, I dislike my voice in the first place ;) but the line quality IS bad :P

Your voice is just fine, my friend. :) And I mean that in the most heterosexual way possible. :P I can think of quite a few people who resemble nails-on-chalkboard when speak, but yours has a nice timbre to it. If you were on AM radio at 0300 in the morning, I'd be able to listen and fall asleep. :P
